A popular dish from the Tamil Nadu region of South India, Ponnanganni Keerai Thokku is made with the leafy green vegetable known as Dwarf copperleaf. To create the signature chutney-like consistency of this thokku, the greens are cooked with a mixture of spices, tamarind, and other flavourings until it reaches a thick, spicy, and tangy texture. Goes well with hot rice, idly, dosa and roti.
